June Garden | 2014

by - Tuesday, July 08, 2014

So it seems to have happened once more...

Yep, I'm a little behind with my garden update... again. The last half of June was spent trying (and succeeding!!!) to get a new job, a lot of photoshoots for the blog and prepping for, then going on, holiday. We got back Sunday night from lovely France and I think I'm finally back in the swing of things.

I think.

It seems my garden was in the swing all along though, as my broad beans had outgrown their supports and tipped over, the tomatoes had gone CRAZY (seriously, you'd think they were tomato trees) and the weeds had enjoyed their week of free reign. (Bind weed, you're killing me, urgh).

So I spent my afternoon yesterday doing some hardcore pottering and began to turn it back to a beautiful garden once more.

Of course everything is now more advanced than when I took these photos, but this is the June Garden, so here are the June photos. I better get shooting for my July update else we'll be half way to October by the time I post it!

I know this is strictly about June but I found some teeny tiny green globes hanging on the tomato plant yesterday. Eee, the first of the crop, I can't wait to watch them grow into vibrant cherry toms!

My summer office... Nice and tranquil and so relaxing.

Those dahlias truly are breathtaking. And I've got lots more different varieties on their way! This really is the time when your hard work over the last 5 months begins to pay off.

One thing I did notice was that my new Acer looks like it's preparing for autumn. This is a little unnerving as I am most certainly not ready for autumn just yet. And we're well past the longest day now too... *weeps*

Have a glorious day my friends and I'll see you soon!
