Decorating for Easter

by - Thursday, March 27, 2014

It's nearly here...

...it's on it's way...

Easter Decorations

My absolute favourite time of year is approaching, so being the excitable little blogger I am, I started playing with my decorations for Easter the other day.

Easter Decorations

It's generally spring that is my favourite-favourite time of year, but spring wouldn't be spring without Easter. It welcomes in the warmer months and encourages us to get back outside again.

Fresh new growth is all around, with hints of colour bursting into view; a welcome sight after the long grey winter just gone.

The sunshine begins to feel warm again. The daylight starts to glisten with the golden promise of longer days, and the world creeps out from under a winter blanket, appreciating every ray of light and sparkle of warmth.

Of course, it is still quite nippy outside, so bring the fresh new season indoors to enjoy no matter what the temperature.

It may be chilly but plants are still flowering, so bring home as much colour as possible to lead your heart into summer.

Look at these little guys! Every photo I took they had some fantastic expression on their fluffy yellow faces. It really is the simple things that make me happy!

My Tips for Easter Decorating:

~ If it's cute, it's in!

~ Pastels are essential for that spring feeling

~ Think fresh, bright and new; fresh cut flowers really make this look

~ Go for a soft, light and airy feel to bring sunlight into the home

~ Create a realistic display with overstuffed vases beside single stem bottles

~ Incorporate home-made crafts to add a personal, unique touch

Featured Items:

Pretty much everything in this photoshoot is thrifted so I cannot give you stockists. However, the best feature is the fabulous:

Hand-Crocheted Bunny Tails Garland ~ £10 +p&p Thread the Love

This garland is hand made by the very lovely, very talented Amber so do pop by and see her other creations too!

My, how I love spring! How do you decorate for the season?
