Le Grande Diet de Badger

Hello and happy new year to you all! I feel like a bit of a stranger, I'm afraid. The last few months have been somewhat all-over-the-place, hence not having posted since Halloween!

As most of you probably know by now, P's house has been sans-housemate since the 31st October last year. So seeing as the obvious next step is for P and I to move in together, in said house, all the home-move stuff has completely taken over the last 3 months of my life. (That and Christmas, plus the 300 birthdays my family seem to have had recently!) So, with a fresh and special start well under way, we've spent all of our free time re-vamping, re-assessing and re-planning. Now, I've never really considered myself an impatient person, but my word, am I desperate to get all the house things done quicker than you can say 'new home.' This is of course referring to decorating, comfort-ating, furniture rehoming and generally homemaking. I do have yet to prise my little claws away from my family home with moo-ma and moo-pa, as I have my own nest there and don't want to lose it. I have now realised that I am the kind of person that doesn't like change, and that I build little badger-nests in the places that I frequent. So quite naturally, the thought of these nests being changed is something that I do not like the idea of! But it is becoming increasingly inconvenient to try and spread all my time over two homes, so I know I'll have to give up the family nest soon, in order to create one of my own.

But that aside, the whole point of me posting today is to say a very loud HELLO! Because I've been off the radar so long I feel you guys have forgotten about me. But I brownie promise that I will try to write more often, because quite frankly, it makes me happy.

So, I think it's about time I told you what my latest venture is. I call it, the grande diet de badger. (I know, I'm very sophisticated with my immaculate french.) It really is time to be a bit slimmer and a bit sleeker, because, (believe it or not) spring (and therefore summer) is on its way. Last Friday the 8th was day 1 of GDDB (grande diet de badger) and on day 5 I've already managed to go back to the tighter 'hole no. 4' on my belt, which is motivating in itself. So, as long as I stay as determined as I am now, I think I can really nail this thing.

Seeing as that's all I've got for you for now, because it's only been a week, I'll give you a little picture that's really made me happy this weekend. It's of P and Roma, having their early morning cuddle earlier today. It simply reminds me that we need to appreciate the now while we have it, because one blink and it's gone. I hope you've all had a fabulous weekend and I shall be back very soon...
