All I can say is woopsie... I've done it again. The other weekend I was doing my usual chores and decided to give the kitchen a proper, pull-everything-out kind of clean. So I cleared one half of the room then thought, 'I'm sick of looking at that bloomin' cement smeared over the yellow paint. In fact, I'm sick of looking at the yellow paint, too.' And then I decided to do something about it...
How to create a warm & inviting space
Hello friends!
You may have seen the photo that I Instagrammed the other day mentioning our latest makeover. It's only a small one but I've decided to collaborate it with my latest Affordable Interiors post. This third instalment of the series is only a mini-chapter, and is simply about how the aesthetic choices we make completely influence the way others feel about a space.

My my! I guess it's time for a chapter two! A bit belated I'm afraid, we've been rather busy! I would like to feature this fairly frequently, so apologies for the slow start. :)
I remember walking round the whole house the night it became 'ours,' wondering how on earth we were going to make it feel ours, and where we were going to start. 6 months on, I'd say we'd done a pretty good job of making that happen, but there's a long way to go yet.

As you all know, (especially if you follow me on Instagram) P and I have just moved in together into a post-war house that hasn't seen a decorator in quite some time. We're slowly doing it up, and turning it into our home, but I've been thinking recently about where I'm getting my inspiration from. I'm an avid reader of Homes & Antiques Magazine, and if another home or garden glossy grabs my attention, I'll have my paws on that equally as fast!
