Autumn Rewards
I can't believe we've been here a week already, before we know it, it'll be Chri - actually I won't say that word yet! It's already being mentioned left, right and centre in my house though, because I'm working away to get the festive ranges for Butterfly and Blue ready to go live in a few weeks time!
But enough of that - it's only just October and we've got a lot to enjoy about the season!
We had a wonderful trip to the pumpkin farm last weekend, which is where I've found all my lovely little gourds and squashes, and the bigger pumpkins that are now scattered around the fireplace in amongst flickering candles.

I've currently got The Kringle Candle Company's 'Aqua' in my burner, chosen to recreate the fresh mountain air, icy glacial lakes and warm golden sun that we enjoyed on our Canadian honeymoon last autumn.
It also perfectly compliments the warm, cosy indoors by creating a sense of pure, chilly outdoor air - and makes you want to curl up under a blanket clutching a hot cup of tea!
There are dried hydrangea heads in vintage stoneware vases, acorn-patterned votives & little leaf confetti cut from weathered book pages that I made for the wedding last year.
And the cutest, tiniest little gourds you've ever seen!
Autumn always turns the living room into my favourite room in the house. It becomes the most wonderful place to arrive home to after a day spent out in the brisk air, curled up on the sofa with a book or settling down to watch a film. The candles dancing their dance upon the mantle, the hearth, the coffee table...
Pulling closed the curtains to hide the approaching night, tucking yourself away in a nest of love, warmth and familiarity. Home.
Anyone fancy a cuppa?
