Christmas 2018
Can we also take a moment to talk about Asda's Gingerbread Gin Liqueur!? I was given this bottle at work and it literally is the best drink. Ever.
Not only does it taste phenomenal, but it also shimmers and glows with gold sparkle when you shake and pour it.

December the 23rd
On the Sunday before Christmas, we spent the day doing the last bits and pieces of gift wrapping and house prep before heading into town to Wintasia, our local Christmas teepee that becomes the cosiest refuge throughout December. Mulled wine in one hand, and toasting marshmallows with the other, we had a lovely family afternoon huddled around the fire before retreating back to big sister's snuggly home for a pre-chrimble bevvy.
Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve we went for our traditional walk into town to get breakfast and a wander around the shops. We then headed home past all the festive cottage doors to curl up with a cuppa in front of the Muppet Christmas Carol - another favourite Christmas Eve tradition of ours!
Roma found her present underneath the tree and decided she'd been patient enough - she adored the giant catnip fishy inside and was throwing it about all over the place!
We also had the pleasure of being invited to celebrate Polish Christmas this year with my Sister, Brother in Law and family on the 24th, which was a magical experience with prayers, presents and the perfect Polish three course meal.
Christmas Day
Our Christmas Day this year began with a cup of tea while opening stockings in bed. Paul found a plethora of American sweets and drinks in his, whilst I found the most adorable collection of miniatures to commemorate our 2018 - like a mini Fiat 500x, a mini version of our sofa and some miniature spirits as a momento of all the lovely things we've enjoyed this year.
We then packed up all our wrapped gifts from under the tree and headed over to my parents out in the country.
We had a brilliant, traditional Christmas Day all together, with winter walks, pressie opening and the best chrimble dinner cooked by my Mama.
As you may have seen on Instagram this week, my Christmas present from Paul was an amazing collection of the snuggliest knitwear, the richest hot chocolate and much more, like gourmet s'mores and colour changing pine cones for the fire.
Once I had opened everything, he showed me a moodboard that he'd made for inspiration - featuring a snowy log cabin and roaring fire. Then he told me... that he's taking me to that very same log cabin this week It was the best Christmas surprise and made me cry tears of both excitement and shock!
Turns out there was even a clue in the stunning mountain themed wrapping paper too!
December the, erm...
The last few days then passed in a haze of cosy days on the sofa, long, hot baths with a book, falling asleep at 7pm then staying up until past midnight watching films, with the odd trip out the house now and then.
We also had Paul's family Christmas last Friday, which was a wonderful day filled with pimped up prosecco, board games and a huge indulgent feast complete with chocolate fountain!
